.... Help! ....

Next week my mum's friend and his son are coming over from England for a couple of days. They are very close friends to us, and I love them dearly, but I'm still a little a little nervious about, well, the food bit!
I know, I know, I shouldn't be embarrassed about my lifestyle...
ah, but sometimes....
These are friends that we've known for YEARS, and infact, it isn't Ally (the mum) who I'm worried about AT ALL -in fact, I even found out that she has attempted to go raw before! And is very excited to talk to me about it!!
I mean, that would be all fine and dandy if it was just her coming...
but it's not!
Oli (her son - short for Oliver) is so cool! But, I feel really stupid when I talk about health with him and my other old England friends (I lived in England for 10 years and just (re)moved to France/Switzerland 2 years ago)........
Because these are the friends that I got drunk with every weekend.
These are the friends that would scoff down junk food with.
So, I just feel so... out of place with them now.
And I don't want too.
So, I'm really nervous about eating in front of him!!!!!
Gahhh, I hope I'm making sense? ;)
Hmmm, any advice?
I'm just going to try and keep it light.
And smile alot.
And only talk about health and whatnot to Ali when Oli isn't in the room! ;)
Beh.. Oh yeah, were going up in the mountains too.
Eek! No blender! ;)
Anyway, to put some brightness into this post.... :)
Mmmmm, try this:
Blend 2-3 lovely whole organic oranges (peeled, obviously ;)with a little water (preferably in a high-speed blender) and to jazz it up.. add a liiitle squeeze of lemon juice too! :)
It's so yummy and fluffy!
A nice change to the typical orange 'juice'! :D
hehe, No, I don't wear a towel on my head out ;)

I feel the same way about sharing my lifestyle with other people. It's like I'm so passionate about it yet when it comes to old friends or relatives hearing about it,I get pretty nervous. So sorry but I don't have any advice...I can only symphathize with you :)
Hey Paulina!
Thanks for the sympathy!
It helps! (;
I love your blog, especially the name. :) I am supre impressed when someone your age has such a grip on what is important in the world.
Much LOve!
Connie
You are TOO CUTE! I hope the best for you. I'm with Connie is saying that I'm very impressed with you. Not many your age, esp in the States, care much for health. I was one of them. I can understand your hesitation with sharing this "different" lifestyle with your friends. It would be hard. I don't have much to say in way of advice but be true to yourself and hopefully both you and your friends will be accepting of each other. Who knows?! Maybe you'll influence one or all of them to think twice about their food. ;)
